Digital Hardcore
Digital hardcore is a music genre that is a mix of hardcore punk and thrash metal with electronic music such as hardcore techno and drum and bass. The genre started in Germany in the 1990’s. It is a very fast and abrasive style of music, the electric guitar sound is usually distorted
using synthesizers and drum machines. Its mainstream popularity is mostly underground. The star performers are Atari Teenage Riot, Moshpit and Sleigh Bells.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a subculture that originated from an African American community during the 1970s in New York. It consists of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping and a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. The main performers of the genre are Kanye West, M.I.A, Tinie Tempah and Rizzle Kicks.



Rizzle Kicks: musical duo from Brighton consisting of rapper, Jordan Stephens (Rizzle) and singer Harley Sylvester. Formed in 2010.

Indie Rock
Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1980s. Indie rock, derived from "independent", describes the small and relatively low-budget labels on which it is released and the do-it-yourself attitude of the bands and artists involved. The main performers in this genre include Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks and The White Stripes.

Arctic Monkeys, 4 piece band from Sheffield, formed in 2002. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar) and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals).
